Most versions of the SUV rely on a familiar engine, the 3.5-litre V6 developing some 290 hp, mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. If this kind of power isn’t enough for you, the Type S and Type S Ultra variants opt instead for a turbocharged 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine, which offers some 355 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. The same transmission is used. All versions also feature Advance all-wheel drive.

Selectable driving modes and adjustable adaptive suspensions (standard on Type S) make the MDX even more efficient and dynamic while promoting a smooth ride for the vehicle’s occupants.
Spacious interior
The 2024 Acura MDX is more than just an SUV: it can carry up to 7 passengers in comfort. The front seats are soft and comfortable and can be fitted with 16-way power adjustment and massage. The first and second rows offer ample space for passengers, with the third row reserved for occasional use. However, simply lower the second or last row to obtain one of the largest load areas in the class, from 513 to 2,690 litres.
Technology and refinement
We can’t talk about the Acura MDX without mentioning the many technological features that make it unique. The ELS audio system, with 12 or 16 speakers depending on the version, allows you to stream music from your smart device connected to Apple Car Play or Android Auto with the warmest of sounds. Acura has also equipped the MDX with a host of comfort features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats and leather upholstery. A large 12.3-inch infotainment screen is standard.
